StreetFair Highlights 2011
10am Official Opening of StreetFair
Located @ Dance Extravaganza Stage, Anderson Street North
The event will be officially opened by the Mayor of Willoughby, Cr. Pat Reilly in the presence of Willoughby City Councillors and other local dignitaries. Other special guests will include visitors from Willoughby’s Friendly City Gwydir Shire. Each year an annual exchange sees Willoughby students visiting Bingara for the Orange Festival in August and Bingara students visiting Willoughby during the Spring Festival. Participants will be presented with certificates on the day. A highlight of the opening will be a performance by the Diramu dance troupe who will Welcome us to Country.
10am - 4pm StreetFair Stalls
Located @ Chatswood Mall and throughout Victoria Avenue, Anderson and Spring Streets
StreetFair will showcase over 100 stalls including; jewellery, arts and crafts, fashion, plants, fresh produce and community stalls. A wide range of stalls serving delicious treats from all over the world will get your mouth watering. With Chatswood Mall Market favourites and a plethora of new and exciting StreetFair participants, you are sure to find something for you!
10am - 4pm Sustainability Street
Located in Anderson Street South
StreetFair has an entire street dedicated to sustainable living. Meet Council’s team at a number of fascinating stalls sharing advice on everything from solar power, energy and water efficiency in your household or business to planting with natives, local bushwalks, and growing your own food. There will also be kid’s activities including fantastic face painting, crazy science experiments and much more. Returning this year is the much-loved family wildlife photo booth. So come down have a chat and share your sustainability story.
10am - 5pm North Shore Orchid Show
Located @ Foyer on The Concourse, Victoria Avenue, Chatswood
Experience the beautiful displays of award winning orchids and have your chance to ask an expert on how to grow your own. There will be a variety of spectacular orchids for sale which will be available at very reasonable prices.

10.30am The StreetFair New Beginnings Parade
Starts @ Dance Extravaganza Stage and proceeds along Victoria Avenue finishing at Neridah Street
Bursting with dynamic colours, striking costumes and entertainment, the StreetFair New Beginnings Parade brings together the diverse Willoughby community. Over 1000 participants and vehicles will come together as we celebrate our strengths through sport, culture, the arts and the environment. Come early so that you get the best spot on the parade route.
11am Barista Competition
Spring St

- Café Nowhere – 5 Wilkes Ave, Artarmon
- Charlie Lovett – Shop 1, 134 Willoughby Road, Crows Nest
The crème of the crop of coffee makers will compete against each other to decide who makes the best cup! With the best Espresso, Cappuccino and Signature drink, see who will take home the award for Willoughby’s Champion Barista. And with the Gun Barista challenge and Latte Art contest, the pressure is sure to set some steam flying!
11.30am Parade Participants Group Photo

The StreetFair Parade’s sea of colour will become a wave on the steps of The Concourse for a commemorative photo, celebrating 15 years of this iconic event. This is your chance to take a photo with everyone in it, so don’t miss this rare opportunity.
12pm - 4pm The Concourse Community Open Day at StreetFair
Located @ The Concourse Information Stall, The Plaza, Victoria Avenue, Chatswood

12pm - 4pm Faces Of Willoughby Open To View
3pm Official Opening Of Faces Of Willoughby
Located @ The Concourse Art Space, The Concourse, 409 Victoria Avenue, Chatswood
Official opening at 3pm. In 2010 more than 2000 people of Willoughby had their portrait taken for the Faces of Willoughby photographic mural which has been digitally compiled to form six large portraits celebrating who we are today. The murals are located on the ground floor of The Concourse near the Anderson Street entrance. Participants can see their portrait on the wall and collect a copy of their photo from the Art Space on The Concourse, next to the Box Office.
